Home Happenings - January 2017

Wow - we have been busy here at Eldon Nursing & Rehab!

The residents enjoyed the holidays with a lot of visits from family and friends.  We baked cookies, played games, had movie nights with popcorn and listened to great music from Karaoke Bill.

We had a snack party for New Year's Eve with some sparkling grape juice and delicious punch.  We had noise makers and party beads for our celebration.

We are in process of developing some groups such as a sewing group, craft group, gaming group, men's group and cooking group to go along with the regular activities.  Anyone that would be interested in volunteering for any of these groups, please contact our Activity Department.

Java Joe, Golden Oldies, Bingo, MLK Day, Ben Franklin's birthday and National Pie Day will all be celebrated during the month of January.  We had Kim Honea, a certified Drums Alive instructor, come in for a demonstration.  Her "Golden Beats" was a success with a lot of participation and smiles.  Drums Alive is a unique fitness/wellness program based on scientific research.  It enhances physical, mental and social wellness, creates euphoria, releases stress and above all, is fun and delivers real fitness results.  We can't wait to have her back in our home for another demonstration!  All of the pictures below are of our residents and staff participating in Drums Alive...
